To try out or participate in the sports at Jenkins, students will need the Athletic Packet completed and on file with the Jenkins MS Business Office. The Athletic Packet includes: Middles School Participation Form (2 pages); Pre-participation Physical Evaluation; Emergency Information Card; Jenkins Athletic Eligibility Policy.  Click on Athletic Packet for these forms.

Boys and Girls Cross Country Coed

    • Cross Country will start Wednesday, August 14 with an informational meeting from 3:50PM-4:10PM in the Jenkins Gym.
    • Practice will start on Thursday, August 15 and run every day from 4PM-5:15PM everyday.

  • Season September 17, 2024 to November 16, 2024
  • Due to logistics and time constraints in the gym at Jenkins, we will practice in the wrestling room at Doherty High School for the first 3 weeks of our season. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we have been navigating the new overlap of the Volleyball season this year.

  • Practice Schedule:

    • Everyday after school except for days we have duals from 6:00pm to 7:30pm

  • We will meet by the outdoor basketball courts next to the West side parking lot of DHS.

  • We will do a walk through of the entrance of the school to the wrestling room so that parents know where to drop wrestlers off and wrestlers know how to get to get to the wrestling room.

  • All procedures and information for the season will be covered and all questions will be answered

  • All required paperwork will be collected

  • Utilizing the DHS wrestling room will provide an amazing experience for our wrestlers to be immersed in high level wrestling practices while we prepare them to wrestle at the next level in high school.  There will be a carpool system setup so that no kid is left out due to transportation issues and we may even be able to use the activity buses to transport kids if need be.

  • Be on the lookout for more posts and updates for the upcoming season. My coaching staff and I are excited for a great season as we chase our first 3Peat! GO JAGS!

*Interscholastic Sports-Students from a school engage in athletics with other schools at a competitive level to include: scheduled games with all schools, officials at all games, post season competition, all guided by a handbook.  If a school does not have a program, they may join another school's program under the guidance of the District Athletic Director.  

*Hybrid Sports-Students from a school engage in athletics with other schools at a semi-competitive level to include; games with other school team.  Hybrid sports are a blend between interscholastic and intramurals(a semi-competitive athletic opportunity played within a school against other students within the school). If a school does not have a program, they may join another school's program under the guidance of the District Athletic Director.   

 


Interscholastics Sports Fees: This fee is required per sport.  Football Excluded. 

**New Fees for the 2024-2025 School Year**
Regular:  $25.00      3rd Sport in Year:  $13.00

Reduced Lunch:  $17.00    3rd Sport in Year: $9.00

Free Lunch:  $9.00   3rd Sport in Year:   $5.00

Non District/Non Jenkins:  $38.00

Maximum per family (within the same school): $100.00

Fees for Hybrid sports will vary with some still to be determined.

Fees can be paid with exact cash or check (made payable to Jenkins MS) at the Jenkins MS Business Office.  Payment is also accepted on myschoolbucks.com - please make sure to find the Jenkins MS store and select the Jenkins MS/Sport Name.  Service Fee is $2.60.  Payments for sport fees will only be accepted when that particular sport starts or when student makes the team. 

***The full fee will be collected until proof of free or reduced lunch is submitted. *** A current letter must be submitted each school year.
